Part L Compliance

Air Permeability Testing

Air Testing from Energise

New dwellings will normally need an air permeability test carried out at As Built stage, to verify that the air tightness is equal to or lower than the target rate in the SAP calculation for the dwelling.  This is part of the Part L1A compliance process.

Sampling can be utilised on larger developments, with average test results applied to dwellings not tested with a 2.0 m3/m2.h penalty added to the average test result for each dwelling type.

All our air tightness, air permeability and air pressure tests are carried out in accordance with ATTMA (Air Tightness Testing and Measuring Association) TS1 Issue 2 to BS EN 13829 method B standards, and all our test engineers are trained and accredited members of the BINDT (British Institute of Non Destructive Testing).

Energise can also provide extract fan flowrate testing and certification, which if carried out in conjunction with the air test, is priced to give very good value.
