U-value Calculations
U-values play a central role in Part L of Building Regulations and SAP L1A Compliance calculations for new dwellings, and in the production of On Construction Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs).
U-value calculations must be carried to the Conventions set out in BR 443:2006.
BR443:3006 covers BS and EN Standards for calculating U-values for different elements, and defines standards for verification of data used for individual layers in U-value calculations.
